Medical Ventures Corporation has signed its first distribution agreements and sales of Performance Medical Devices' PeriPatch Sheet in the US. Agreements have recently been completed with: Corthomed Inc., covering New York, Connecticut and New Jersey; Kand Medical Inc., covering Southern California and Nevada; and Coast BioSystems Medical Corporation, covering Northern California. Initial PeriPatch Sheet sales were completed with Corthomed Inc. in the first quarter 2005, while initial sales with Kand Medical Inc. and Coast BioSystems Medical Corporation are expected in the second quarter 2005.
The PeriPatch Sheet is a surgical patch made from processed bovine pericardium. The PeriPatch Sheet is indicated for internal tissue repair during cardiovascular and general surgical procedures. Paul Geyer, CEO of Medical Ventures said, "These initial distribution agreements will undoubtedly contribute to the future growth and success of the PeriPatch product line. We will actively seek additional distribution for the PeriPatch product line through 2005 and beyond." The PeriPatch Sheet has received FDA clearance and Canadian HPFB approval for sale.
