As of the beginning of January 2004 more than 11,000 patient records have been entered into the e-CYPHER database - a remarkable achievement for all those centres involved. The 15,000 target is now clearly in view as centres continue to enter 6 and 12-month follow-up data. Another remarkable fact associated with e-CYPHER, the largest, Internet-based registry of any drug-eluting stent is that more than 50 centres have reported follow-up rates of 90-100% with an additional 21 centres having reached follow-up rates of 81-89%.
The next presentation of new data from e-CYPHER will be in New Orleans at the annual CRF Stent Summit meeting (6 March) and at the ACC meeting in (7-10 March).
