The Sprinter Rapid Exchange balloon is the latest in balloon technology and is uniquely equipped to address the most difficult lesions in coronary angioplasty procedures. Among its capabilities:
FasTrac™ Tip - New low-profile FasTrac tip offers a combination of tip material and design to reach and treat even the most challenging lesions. The tip length is balanced with excellent wire-to-tip transition and a 0.016" lesion entry profile - the smallest profile available and ideal for tight lesions.
Fulcrum™ Balloon Material - Highly supple material aids navigation through tortuous and distal anatomy. Unique MiniWrap balloon folding process provides for a low-profile wrap and rewrap for the first and last lesion while providing a 0.021" crossing profile - the lowest crossing profile available.
Supportive Shaft - Low profile and responsive shaft balances push with deliverability - ideally suited for distal lesions. In addition, the low profile shaft allows use of the Sprinter balloon in a 6F guide catheter while utilising the "kissing balloon" technique.
Unique 1.5 mm is designed specifically to treat tight lesions with a thinner wall material and unique 2 fold MiniWrap folding process for exceptional access and cross to challenging lesions.
Exclusive Selective Dura-Trac coating provides durable lubricity to track to and cross lesions while ensuring position retention while inflated to aid in the prevention of "watermelon seeding".
The Sprinter balloon is available in lengths of 6, 12, 15, 20, 25 and 30 mm and diameters of 1.5-4.0 mm (quarter sizes available). The Sprinter balloon enhances Medtronic's balloon portfolio, which includes the Extensor Low-Compliant Balloon Catheter, which is primarily used to reopen partially closed stents or further expand implanted stents.
